The PRINCE2 Project, Programme, Portfolio Office Management guidance provides advice, supported by discussion and examples, on how to develop a delivery and governance structure that helps optimize an organization's investment in change alongside its business-as-usual work.This Practitioner course comprises two days of trainer led instruction. It is aimed at members of offices within a PMO model or anyone who needs to understand the terminology and concepts underpinning a PMO. The course builds on foundational knowledge and provides delegates with comprehensive understanding of the PMO advice should be applied and to prepare delegates for the Practitioner Certificate examination.

  • Develop the business case required to obtain senior management approval for the PMO
  • Identify and build the most appropriate PMO model, which will adapt to the organization's needs, taking account of the organization's size and portfolio, programme and project management maturity
  • Identify the most appropriate roles required to populate a specified PMO structure
  • Plan the implementation of a PMO
  • Choose and use appropriate tools and techniques while running the PMO and advising those who shape the portfolio of programmes and projects.
