In the course exploratory testing you will learn the theory and practical use of different forms of exploratory testing. The theory will be practiced with real life cases in which you will test online applications. You will also learn how to use different templates and other practical tools.
This course is meant for testers, test managers and test consultants with basic knowledge of testing. It is specifically applicable for testers in an agile organization.
The course starts with the basic principles behind exploratory testing, which will be taught in an interactive way. With this knowledge in mind you will learn how to apply free style exploratory testing, session based testing and bug hunts. These forms of exploratory testing will be practices by means of two test applications. In these cases you will learn how to plan, prepare, execute and do the follow up of these forms of exploratory testing. Practical tools like a test charter, a mind map and some specific exploratory testing tooling will be practiced as well. You will also learn when to use which way of exploratory testing. For this you will learn how to use a decision support tool. During the course there is enough time to discuss how exploratory testing can be applied in your organization.
